Who we are
Instiglio is a nonprofit social enterprise with the mission of improving the effectiveness of social services by unlocking new sources of capital to discover and scale programs that work. By linking financing to the outcomes of evidence-based interventions, we aim to transform the impact of philanthropic, investor and taxpayer money.
What we do
Instiglio advances its mission by introducing the social impact bond (SIB), also known as a pay-for-success contract, to low- and middle-income countries through a three-step process:
1. We design the social impact bond by vetting intervention models, evaluating service providers, demonstrating financial and social value, and designing the outcome assessment.
2. We structure the social impact bond by creating the appropriate legal and financial vehicles, raising capital from donors and investors, and facilitating the partnership between stakeholders in the public, private and social sectors.
3. We implement by scaling-up service providers, improving service provider capacity, and monitoring and course-correcting service delivery.
